Built for village life.
Moranbah sits at the centre of Bowen Basin coal, and much of the town's security work happens inside accommodation villages. Hundreds of rooms, a mess, a wet mess, laundries, gyms and car parks, all turning over with every swing.
The access system needs to know who is on roster and who is not. We integrate Inner Range or Gallagher with the village's booking data so room and gate credentials activate for a swing and expire when it ends. Lost cards are disabled in seconds, not after a locksmith visit.
CCTV then covers the places that matter: entries, the mess, bus pick-up points and the car park where vehicles sit for a week or more at a time.
Typical village scope
- Room and block access tied to roster dates
- Boom gates with LPR at the main entry
- CCTV across mess, wet mess and car parks
- Bus bay and pick-up point coverage
- Nx Witness for camp managers and head office
- Intercoms at gates and reception
Heat, dust and long runs.
Summer heat and fine coal dust shorten the life of consumer gear. We specify cameras and enclosures rated for the conditions and design cabling with the distances of a large village in mind, using fibre or wireless point-to-point where copper runs get too long.
Equipment can be supplied anywhere in Australia. Design, installation and servicing are carried out in Queensland, with maintenance visits scheduled around your camp's occupancy.
Common questions.
Can access credentials follow our roster automatically?
Yes. Access can be linked to booking or roster data so credentials activate and expire with each swing, without manual updates by camp staff.
Can head office view the Moranbah cameras?
Nx Witness gives secure remote viewing, so managers in Brisbane or Mackay can see the same footage as the site team.
Do you service villages between swings?
We schedule maintenance to suit occupancy, whether that is a quiet changeover day or a planned shutdown.
